Spring is well and truly here and I'm feeling an overwhelming urge to declutter, brighten up and refresh everything! Quite out of character (I really am not a housework person), I've been whipping around with a variety of bags and boxes that I'm filling with a selection of once vital or precious 'stuff' that will either be sold, donated, repurposed or, as a last resort binned - I also hate throwing things away... I am sure you are building up a wonderful image of my home and a basic understanding of one of my husband's biggest frustrations in life now!
At the same time as creating some extra room, I am also seeing the space with fresh new eyes and cleaning it up, dusting it off and adding a few extra touches to make it complete - it is crazy to think that we have lived in this house for over 18 months now, and it is only now that I am turning my attention to how it all works together - especially being the visual person that I am! I was talking the other day with a friend (who shares my dislike of adding to landfill) about how when you start out and you don't have much, you accept the hand-me-downs that you are given - the faded pink duvet cover , the throw with a small stain in that one corner, the interesting green vase with a bit of a chip that you can always hide at the back, or the gorgeous ornate dresser that means a lot and is probably worth a small fortune but it just really doesn't fit with your style. Throughout all of our moves I have always chosen houses that are quite light and airy, and since we moved into this particular house I've had a clear preference for a gorgeous dusky blue and a deep dark grey that is accented throughout our house and sits so well against that light bright background. It's time for the pink duvet cover and ornate dresser to make their way to new homes, and I'm really enjoying choosing some of my own artwork which compliments our chosen colours and style, to hang on the walls.
Equally, spring is a great time to refresh your business, and profile headshots - used on your website, social media and in publications - are often the first impression your audience get of you, they can make such a lasting impression and benefit from being updated regularly. A gorgeous, relaxed natural light headshot will freshen up your profile and help you stand out from the crowd. A comfortable outdoor location will make you feel more relaxed than standing in front of a backdrop with lights shining at you, and this will allow your natural energy and personality to shine through.

I'm holding headshot mini sessions in Reigate, Surrey on Friday 10th June. The sessions are ideal for small business owners, creatives and those looking to update their profile on LinkedIn/Facebook/Instagram. Your session will cost you £85 and will include pre-session information, your 20 minute mini session, editing and uploading your images to a secure online gallery where you can select 2 digital files, which will be provided in web, social media and print ready format, along with a commercial use license. It's really important to me that my images reflect the personality of my subject - I'll send you a questionnaire beforehand so that I can find out a little bit about your style and what makes you tick, and this will also give you an opportunity to ask me any questions you have before the shoot.
Time slots available:
10am 10.30am 11am 11.30am 12noon 12.30pm
Spaces are limited - there are only six slots available. If you would like to book, please contact me here. Please include your name, email address and phone number in your email and confirm your preferred and second choice time slot.
Sometimes, you need something more than a mini session and a couple of headshots to showcase your business - if this is the case, please get in touch so that we can talk about your needs and I can put together a tailormade quote.
