52 week photography project: Suzi Bowles Photography

I'm playing catch up - it's been a while since I posted, as I've been concentrating on getting our family used to it's newest addition. For 2014 I've vowed to spend some more time on a couple of photography projects for my own satisfaction and development, and one of the ways that I'm doing this is to participate in the My 4 Hens Project 52 - it's a fantastic project with photographers of all abilities taking part, and I'm really enjoying the inspiration that I'm getting from it already, as well as being blown away by some of the talent and stories that are emerging.

Each week there is a theme - so far I've posted for weeks 1,2 and 3, and this week, week 4 has the theme of 'Joy' which i am still to shoot. Below are my entries for weeks 1-3.

1/52 - Reflections - he's only 9 weeks old and battling a nasty virus, but he's still hanging onto each word his big sister utters, trying to mimic her every move - i'm loving watching this magical sibling love blossom before my eyes.

Not the dazzling first photo I was hoping for, but after a week filled with sickness including an overnight hospital visit for this little guy, I'm just glad I haven't fallen at the first hurdle!
2/52 - Imperfection - While the rest of the Northern Hemisphere seems to be experiencing extreme weather we are finding it hard to imagine while we bask in California's imperfect winter.
3/52 - Inside - We've been plagued with one sickness after another in our house the last few weeks and we're all getting fed up with being cooped up inside while the sun is shining on an unseasonably warm winter outside. She's keeping herself amused playing with the washing up in the sink - who am I to complain?
